A shocking case has emerged from Seraghat in Pithoragarh. Here the middle-aged uncle has been accused of raping the minor niece of the relative. The case came to light when the minor became pregnant. The police have registered a case and arrested the accused uncle.

Minor raped in forest

According to the information, 60-year-old Daya Kishan raped his minor niece in the forest in Seraghat area. The minor used to go with the uncle to graze cattle in the forest. Taking advantage of this, the accused raped the minor and also threatened not to tell anyone. Out of fear, the minor did not tell the family about this. The family came to know about this when the minor was pregnant and had labor pains.
Minor gave birth to child
When the case was revealed, the minor’s father lodged a complaint with the police against the accused uncle. After which the police have arrested the accused. On the basis of the complaint, the police have registered a case against the accused under POCSO and Section 376. The minor has given birth to a baby girl in Pithoragarh hospital.
