CBI arrests industrialist Sudhir Windlas, three others

The big news of this time is coming out from Dehradun. The CBI team arrested industrialist Sudhir Windlas and his three associates late Thursday evening.

Windlas is accused of fraudulently selling valuable land in Rajpur to another businessman. Earlier this year, the CBI registered four cases against 20 people, including Windlas, on the recommendation of the government. The accused will be produced before the CBI special court on Friday morning.There are allegations of land fraud

In January 2022, a businessman from Dehradun had filed two cases against Sudhir Windlas and his family and employees at Rajpur police station. It is alleged that Windlas has made fake documents of the lands and sold them. It also showed many dead people alive in whose place their employees and colleagues were standing.A lawsuit against Windlas was also filed by a former military officer. Windlas is also accused of grabbing their land. One such lawsuit was filed against Windlas in 2018. Initially, all these cases were investigated by the police. But the victim’s side was not satisfied with the investigation of the district police.

There are allegations of land fraud

The aggrieved side had demanded a CBI inquiry from the government. After which the government transferred these cases to the CBI. After the government’s recommendation, the Anti-Corruption Branch of the CBI registered four cases against 20 people, including Sudhir. During the investigation, the CBI also raided his residence, premises and the institute.
