Alumini of IIT, IIM, Ex Civil Servant but a highly popular Vedanta/Upnishad teacher now, Acharya Prashant is a household name. You may like or dislike his teachings but can’t ignore him. With crores of followers on youtube and various social media platforms, Acharya Prashant is a strong modern day influencer and such a strong academic background adds fuel to fire in hia extraordinary understanding and explanation of The Vedanta.

However, not many know that far before one of the greatest youtube controversys ever (Sandeep Maheshwari vs Dr Vivek Bindra) Acharya Prashant had indirectly called Dr Vivek Bindra “An avtar of shakuni” ( Shakuni Reincarnated ) in one of his videos. May be if Sandeep Maheshwari proves right towards the end of this controversy spreading like a forest fire now, Acharya Prashant might prove right. Approximately a 500 crore scam is suspected ( Bada Business IBC Scam) under the facade of The Bhagwat Gita.

To this video of Shri Prashant, Dr Vivek Bindra had also replied in one of his discourses under “Gita in action ” series. Dr Vivek Bindra described Acharya Prashant as a man with very less IQ, (kam buddhi) , and The Bhagwat Gita to be a “kalpvriksha” ( resonating loosely with the way law of attraction, law of manifestation etc are being interpreted these days).

The context was created as a follower asked Acharya Prashant a leading question based on Dr Bindra’s Gita In Action series and his initiative to teach management citing the verses of Lord Krishna. Dr Bindra had given various examples of Lord Krishna’s phenomenal communication skills citing the shlokas of The Gita and made herculean efforts to relate it with management skills.

Acharya Prashant seemed to have been outraged with this said rather than the true wisdom, the keys to self actualization, is Krishna teaching Arjun to quench the vested interests of the shopkeepers? ” Is Lord Krishna teaching Arjun to fill Lala ji’s pocket in Bhagavad Gita?”, said Acharya Prashant in quote unquote.

The assertion is debatable nevertheless the fact remains intact that he was one of the pioneers who had spoken against Dr Vivek Bindra in such a manner that is getting manifested today with Sandeep Maheshwari’s allegations. When right from Mrs Kiran Bedi to Pandit Dhirendra Shastri (Baba Bageshwar Dham) and so many big names, celebrities, role models and influencers (Sandeep Maheshwari included) had been applauding him and his organization, Bada Business, Acharya Prashant made the onslaught.

Sandeep Maheshwari had broken the ice but it can’t be denied that Acharya Prashant had done the groundwork before.
