The European Organization for Nuclear Researc( CERN) will destroy the world roared all Dollies and Davids. Do you remember that experiment based on Stephen Hawking’s path breaking research. This CERN is the one that houses the Large Hadron Collider (LHC). World’s most powerful particle accelerator that wanted to draw inferences on collision of particles moving somewhere near the velocity of light.
For both scientists and mystics it’s interesting that this premier institute has a 2-metre tall statue of Natraj, the dancing shiva, installed at their premises.
While the agnostic are still scratching their heads on how this statue reached Europe, several stories have emerged from spiritual estorics and religious organisations about the same.
Some with a scientific touch, say that the Natraja statute explains the structure of the atom . The Brahma , Vishnu, Mahesh. The creator, operator, destructor. The tamo sato rajo gunas etc they relate with the electron, proton, neutron in atoms. Those who leap beyond structure and objects hold the view that the posture of the statue called ‘Anand Tandavam’ hides the secrets of the dark energy and the dark matter as the motion is similar to the motion of sub atoms.
The statue was gifted by the Government of India to celebrate its association with CERN, which started in the 1960s. As the vedanta is being understood today the way it was never before the scientists are saying ” Oh these celestial movements , it’s something like ‘oups’, ‘ouch’ it’s that ,’mmm’ , yes yes something like the cosmic dance of shiva”.
