Permanent residence will not be sought from those with original residence certificate, order issued

The department will no longer be able to force the original residence certificate holders to submit permanent residence certificates in the state. Following the instructions of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, the government has issued orders.

It was brought to the notice of the government that the original resident certificate holders of Uttarakhand are being forced to submit permanent residence certificates by the concerned departments, institutions and institutions for employment in the state, educational institutions, and various other works in the state.

Government issued orders on CM’s instructions

In this regard, clear instructions have already been given by the General Administration Department regarding the need for permanent residence certificate for the original residence certificate holders. Secretary Vinod Kumar Suman has issued orders in this regard on Wednesday.

Secretary Vinod Kumar Suman issued an order stating that the holders of the original residence certificate should not be compelled to submit permanent residence certificate for the purposes for which permanent residence certificate is required. He said that strict compliance of the orders should be ensured.
