Aayush Tiwari –

I had always been captivated by the game of chess. From the moment I had first laid my eyes on the beautifully crafted chess set in my father’s study table, I had felt an unexplainable connection to the ancient game. As I grew older, my passion for chess only intensified, and I became I think a ‘ good’ player in my town.

I used to think my skills in chess were unmatched, and my opponents often felt as though they were playing against a prodigy. One eyed king in the storm I was hence the stories of talent spread far and wide, reaching the ears of a mysterious old man who claimed to have knowledge of a secret that would forever change everything once and for all.

Well, Intrigued, I sought out the old man in a secluded cottage at the edge of a village at the outskirts of my town. The old man’s name was Haruki, a revered chess master who had dedicated his entire life to the study of the game and was finally in search of salvation in India. He welcomed me with a warm smile and a twinkle in his eyes that held a wealth of wisdom.

“My dear boy, I have heard tales of your incredible talent in chess,” Haruki said, his voice filled with reverence. “But do you know the story of Caissa, the goddess of chess?”

I shook my head, my curiosity piqued. Haruki proceeded to recount the ancient legend of Caissa, a beautiful and intelligent peasant girl who lived in a kingdom ruled by a tyrannical king. The king, who had a deep love for the game of chess, devised a plan to find a worthy opponent – someone who could challenge him and provide the amusement he craved.

In his dream one night, the king saw the image of Caissa, her eyes filled with determination and her spirit radiating with an unparalleled intelligence. He immediately ordered for her to be brought before him, convinced that she could be the one to match his prowess on the chessboard.

As Caissa stood before the king, she nervously accepted his challenge, fully aware of the consequences that awaited her if she lost. The two engaged in a battle of wits and strategy, the entire kingdom holding its breath as they witnessed the unfolding of a legendary game.

But Caissa possessed an incredible power that no one could have anticipated. As the game progressed, she seemed to make moves that were not only brilliant but almost divinely inspired. The chess pieces glowed with an ethereal light, as if obeying her every command. Time and time again, Caissa outmaneuvered the king, eventually leading to his ultimate defeat.

Amazed and humiliated by his loss, the king fell to his knees before Caissa, proclaiming her the true ruler of the game. From that moment on, she was hailed as the goddess of chess, a symbol of wisdom, strategy, and the boundless potential within all players.

I listened intently to Haruki’s tale, my heart racing with a mixture of excitement and wonder. Could it be possible that Caissa’s power still held true in the world of chess today?

Haruki, sensing Aayush’s eagerness, leaned in closer. “Legend has it that those who possess an unwavering passion for the game and a deep understanding of its intricacies have the ability to channel Caissa’s spirit. They play not only with their minds but also with a piece of their intution, transcending the mere boundaries of the board.”

I felt an indescribable surge of energy within him as I absorbed Haruki’s words. From that day forward, I vowed to unlock the secrets of the goddess of chess and harness her power within my own play.

Years passed, and my name became synonymous with greatness in the online world of chess specially chess.com. Not confined to the digital cloud I traveled to distant lands as well, challenging the most renowned players and emerging victorious time and time again. My opponents whispered in awe, calling me the chosen one, the embodiment of Caissa’s spirit.

But against my very nature with every victory, I remained humble, never forgetting the origins of this extraordinary journey as Caissa had come to my veins. I knew that it was not just the skill that brought me success, but the guiding hand of Caissa herself.

And so, now I am standing in the search of the agnostic just like that old man. Divinity making an undeserving figure like me a chess prodigy guided by the goddess of chess, continued to grow, inspiring a new generation of players to delve deeper into the game’s mysteries. For it was through and let me let you know as i conclude :

“Caïssa, the legendary mythological creature, is now known as the Goddess of Chess, and was later notoriously described in a poem called Caïssa written in 1763 by English poet and philologist Sir William Jones. “Caissa, the Goddess of Chess, had punished me for my conservative play, for betraying my nature”.
