CM Pushkar Singh Dhami today fulfilled the dream of cheap air service between Dehradun and Pithoragarh, the valley of Adi Kailash. He himself went from Jolly Grant Airport in a 19-seater plane of Big Way Company and returned in the same plane after inaugurating the flight amidst crowd and gaiety at Naini-Saini Airport. The present secretary Shailesh Bagauli was handed over the next target to start the Pithoragarh-Hindon (Ghaziabad) flight service.
On reaching Pithoragarh, the CM was welcomed by local folk dances and a crowd of enthusiastic people. After PM Narendra Modi’s visit to Pithoragarh and Adi Kailash Darshan, the attraction of people and tourists towards the beautiful Sor Valley adjacent to China and Nepal has increased a lot.
Pithoragarh will become a new and major center of tourism and tourists when the flight service starts from Dehradun and also starts from Hindon, it is certain.
He said that air service was very important for religious tourism and other tourists in Uttarakhand to facilitate the movement of outsiders. Earlier, it used to take 17 hours to go from Pithoragarh to Dehradun, Delhi. With the efforts of PM Modi, this period has been reduced to 11 hours after the all-weather road is built.

The Airport Authority of India has conducted an OLS survey to develop Pantnagar Airport as an international airport. The government plans to regularize the heli service between Dehradun-Almora-Pithoragarh from Jollygrant Airport. Inclusion of services of small aircraft from Chinyalisaur and Gauchar is also being seriously considered.
He said that after the arrival of Prime Minister Modi, the number of tourists visiting Adi Kailash and Jageshwar Dham is increasing rapidly. This air service will prove to be a milestone in promoting tourism in Pithoragarh. This service has started for three days a week. It will be done 5 days a week when the number of passengers increases.
He requested the Union Civil Aviation Minister to start air service from Pithoragarh to Hindon. Scindia said that I have a heartfelt connection with Uttarakhand. I spent 5 years in Uttarakhand. The 19-seater aircraft will be flown on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays.
