Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has given a big message of Matrishakti respect from Devbhoomi by handing over the responsibility of the first woman Chief Secretary in the state to IAS Radha Raturi before implementing the UCC (Uniform Civil Code). This decision of CM Dhami is realizing the vision of women respect, security and women-dominated state. Especially the crowning of a woman officer in the state at the highest post of bureaucracy is also being seen as a major achievement before the implementation of UCC.
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami is living up to PM Modi’s vision of a strong women empowered India. The Chief Minister has recently participated in the Matru Shakti Vandan Mahotsav for women empowerment and respect in more than seven districts of the state and has conveyed the message of women’s important participation in the development of the state. Please tell that this program is still going on.
Apart from this, CM Dhami had already taken a big decision on Nari Shakti Samman by giving 30 percent reservation in jobs and professions to the women of the state. CM Dhami has also announced the date of implementation of the Uniform Civil Code (UCC), the country’s largest law regarding women’s safety, respect and rights.
After these major decisions, the CM has today entrusted the responsibility of Chief Secretary to senior woman officer IAS Radha Raturi for the first time after 23 years of the formation of the state on the highest post of bureaucracy. This decision of the government is also being seen as associated with empowering and respecting women. The government has also made its intention clear about the draft of UCC on February 2 and the decision to be taken on it.
Significantly, the Dhami government has included women’s dignity, safety and rights in the UCC Act as a top priority. Now that UCC is going to be implemented in the state, the responsibility of its implementation is also big. In such a situation, before implementing the UCC law, the state government has given a big message to the whole country by sitting favorably on the ideology of CM Dhami, establishing a woman officer who is aware of the state’s customs and policies to the highest post of bureaucracy.
For the first time in Uttarakhand history, it is being seen that there are more than seven women officers in the posts of DM, SP and SSP in the districts. CM Dhami has given responsibility to women officers in Uttarakhand from the very first day. Among them, in districts like the capital Dehradun, Pauri, Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Pithoragarh, Nainital, Bageshwar, the responsibility of DM and SP is with women.
While the heads of other important departments including CDO, CO have also been made women officers. The intention of the government behind this is that the problems of women living in the remote area of the typical hill should be solved or women officers will help the motherpower of Devbhoomi in implementing the schemes of women empowerment.
